Introduction
Welcome to knoxdl ("we", "us", "our"). We operate the website knoxdl.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Service. By using knoxdl, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. If you have any questions, contact us at privacy@knoxdl.com.
Information we collect
knoxdl collects minimal data to operate and improve the Service:
- Usage data: When you visit knoxdl, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically collects standard server log data, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is collected by Cloudflare and governed by their privacy policy.
- X post URLs you submit: When you paste a video link into knoxdl, that URL is transmitted to our server-side API in order to retrieve video download links. We do not persistently store these submitted URLs or associate them with your identity.
- Cookies and analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and geographic region. It uses cookies to track sessions. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Advertising: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your interests. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the video downloading Service.
- To monitor and improve the performance and reliability of the Service.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- To serve relevant advertisements that fund the free operation of this Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Video content
knoxdl does not host, store, or cache any video content from X (Twitter). When you request a video download, our service retrieves direct streaming URLs from X's content delivery network (CDN) and returns them to your browser. The actual video data is transferred directly from X's servers to your device. We have no control over this content and are not responsible for it.
Cookies
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for the basic operation of the website.
- Analytics cookies: Set by Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site. These are anonymised and do not identify individual users.
- Advertising cookies: Set by Google AdSense to serve personalised advertisements.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect your experience on our site.
